Miss Kitty’s Meow (Hobart, TAS)

Miss Kitty’s Meow is Tasmania’s leading burlesque troupe. The girls have commanded attention from Tasmanian and interstate audiences since their debut in 2007.

Miss Kitty’s Meow has been featured in Tasmanian press from established papers, The Mercury and the Examiner through to street press like Warp and Sauce Magazines. Most recently one of the members (Grace Cherry) was featured in an in depth article in Tasmania’s premiere lifestyle magazine, Tasmanian Style.

Not content with taking Tasmania by storm, Miss Kitty’s Meow have performed with acclaim across the Strait and featured in national press (including the Australian). The girls are preparing to launch their first trip to the Adelaide Fringe Festival to showcase their production “The Beautiful and the Damned: A Burlesque Revue”. This will be the first Tasmanian burlesque production showcased to an interstate audience- shows on their tour have already sold out.

With routines combining comedy, dance with sex appeal, tease and a truckload of rhinestones, Miss Kitty’s Meow remain at the forefront of theTasmanian burlesque scene. The girls are proud to see Tasmanian burlesque flourish from an otherwise forgotten state in the neo-burlesque revival, to a hub of amazing burlesque performers and a collaborative burlesque community.
